Police Pathways Day at ACC National Headquarters

NSW Police Traineeship Program

“This Pathways Day is an outstanding opportunity for our cadets to gain real insight into a professional career in policing. “

ACC Commissioner Peter Glover

The Australian Cadet Corps is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for our members with the upcoming NSW Police Pathways Day, to be held at National Headquarters in Narwee.

This special event marks an important step in strengthening the relationship between the Australian Cadet Corps and the NSW Police Force, providing cadets with direct insight into career pathways within policing and law enforcement.

Behind the Scenes with NSW Police

From 10am to 12pm on Saturday 28 March 2026, NSW Police officers will be onsite at ACC National Headquarters, 7 Bryant Street, Narwee, offering a behind the scenes look at what it is really like to serve as a Police Officer.

Cadets will have the opportunity to engage directly with specialist units including Highway Patrol, Forensics, Detectives and the Dog Unit. Demonstrations will include a fully marked Highway Patrol vehicle and motorbike display, a mock crime scene presentation by Forensic Services, and live working dog demonstrations. Officers will also be available to answer questions about recruitment, training and career progression within the NSW Police Force.

This interactive format ensures the day is both educational and engaging, giving cadets practical exposure to the realities of policing while learning about the NSW Police Cadet Traineeship Program.

Strengthening a Valuable Partnership

Good attendance at this event is important, as it presents a unique opportunity for both organisations to build an ongoing and meaningful relationship that benefits young people across our Units.

Commissioner Peter Glover said the Pathways Day represents a significant step forward for the organisation.

“This Pathways Day is an outstanding opportunity for our cadets to gain real insight into a professional career in policing. Building a strong connection with the NSW Police Force provides our young people with clear direction, positive role models and tangible employment pathways. It is a fantastic step forward for the Australian Cadet Corps and for the future of our youth.”

A Day of Opportunity

All ACC members are encouraged to attend in full uniform, with the briefing commencing promptly at 10:00am. In addition to the formal presentation, a free BBQ lunch will be provided for attending cadets.

The event reflects the Australian Cadet Corps’ ongoing commitment to developing leadership, discipline and real-world career awareness among Australian youth. By working closely with organisations such as the NSW Police Force, the ACC continues to expand meaningful opportunities for its members.

Unit Commanding Officers are asked to circulate this information widely and confirm attendance numbers by the advised RSVP date.

We look forward to welcoming strong representation from across our Units as we continue building valuable partnerships that support the next generation of leaders.
