National Bulletin 03

Commissioners Foreword

Dear Members,

It is an absolute pleasure to address you all in this year’s bulletin and reflect on the incredible progress and growth of the Australian Cadet Corps. As I mentioned during my speech at the 2024 Cadets Camp, I want to begin by acknowledging the outstanding commitment and hard work of each and every one of you. Your participation in the cadet community, whether as a young cadet or an officer, continues to uphold and strengthen the core values of leadership, service, and teamwork that define this organization.

At the 2024 Cadets Camp, we witnessed something truly inspiring—the unyielding dedication of cadets, ranging from as young as eight years old to almost 80 years old. This diversity in age reflects not only the breadth of experience within our ranks but also the strong foundation of mentorship that continues to flourish. Each of you plays a vital role, contributing your unique strengths to the overall success of the corps.

I spoke at length about the importance of promotion within our ranks. Promotions are not just symbolic—they represent the growth, development, and leadership potential within each cadet. This year, many of you achieved new ranks, and I couldn’t be prouder. To those who were recently promoted, you are now role models for the rest of the corps. It is your responsibility to lead by example and continue pushing yourselves to even greater heights. The journey to leadership never ends, and I encourage you all to seize every opportunity to refine your skills and challenge your limits.

As always, we are grateful to have such an exceptional leadership team supporting the cadet experience. I would like to extend my deepest thanks to Deputy Commissioner Allen, who once again proved invaluable in his role as second-in-command throughout the camp. His leadership and dedication have ensured the smooth running of this year’s operations

Our community remains as strong as ever, and we continue to expand and improve with each passing year. This year, we look forward to the possibility of creating a new unit in the Inner West and East of Sydney, broadening our reach and impact. I encourage all members of the community to engage actively with these efforts, helping us bring in new talent and ensure the longevity and success of our corps for years to come.

As we prepare for the year ahead, I urge you all to continue embodying the spirit of service and leadership that makes the Australian Cadet Corps such an extraordinary organization. Whether you are a new recruit or an experienced officer, your role within this community is vital, and I have no doubt that the future of the cadet corps is bright with such dedicated individuals leading the way.

Thank you for your unwavering commitment, and I look forward to another year of outstanding achievements and growth.

On behalf of the Committee,

Trent Aylward
Commissioner

Australian Cadet Corps Inc.
