Cadets Camp 2026:

A Fantastic Weekend of Leadership, Teamwork and Cadet Spirit

The 2026 Cadets Camp, held from 22–24 May at Castle Mountain in Wisemans Ferry, has officially wrapped up — and what a weekend it was. With an excellent turnout of cadets, officers, and adult supporters, this year’s camp has been celebrated as one of our most successful in recent years.

Across three days of activities, training, and shared experiences, our members demonstrated the core values of the Australian Cadet Corps: Integrity, Discipline, and Respect.

A Strong Turnout and High Energy From Start to Finish

Accommodation was quickly settled into, and the first night’s activities set the tone for a weekend full of enthusiasm and teamwork. With bunk‑style accommodation, catered meals, and a well‑organised schedule, cadets were able to focus fully on learning, participating, and connecting with peers from across the Corps.

A Packed Program of Activities

The weekend program delivered a wide range of engaging and challenging activities, including:

  • Fieldcraft and orienteering

  • Night and strategy games

  • Ball sports including soccer, cricket and tennis

  • Drill and band training

  • Leadership development sessions

These activities not only strengthened practical skills but also encouraged teamwork, confidence, and resilience — qualities that sit at the heart of the Cadet experience.

Professional Standards and Safety at the Forefront

The camp was conducted with strong attention to safety and wellbeing. All adults in attendance held valid Working With Children Checks, and a trained First Aid Officer was on site throughout the weekend. Clear procedures for medication, weather preparedness, and emergency response ensured a safe and supportive environment for all participants.

Thank You to Everyone Involved

A camp of this scale is only possible thanks to the dedication of our Officers, volunteers, and supporting families. Your commitment ensures that our cadets continue to have access to meaningful, challenging, and inspiring opportunities.

To every cadet who attended — well done. Your enthusiasm, respect, and willingness to step outside your comfort zone made this camp a standout success.

We look forward to seeing you all at future ACC activities as we continue building strong leaders for tomorrow.
