Australian Cadet Corps Camp, a Success!

The recent Cadets Camp held at the perfectly suited property of CRU Lake Macquarie Conference Centre was a resounding success, with cadets participating in a range of challenging and exciting activities.

The camp, which lasted for 3 days, was designed to offer cadets’ some much deserved fun while testing physical and mental stamina, as well as their leadership and teamwork skills. The program included a variety of outdoor activities such as a challenge course, archery, team based strategy water games, and orienteering, as well as more traditional training such as night war games and more.

“The cadets have shown great determination and resilience throughout the camps challenge course,” said Tuggerah Lakes Commanding Officer, Peter Allen, who oversaw the activity. “They have pushed themselves to their limits and come out stronger for it. We are extremely proud of all of them.”

The camp was not just about the physical challenges, but also about building camaraderie and teamwork among the cadets. The cadets had the chance to bond and make new friends, and many have said that the camp was one of the best experiences of their lives.

The Australian Cadet Corps is a youth development program that provides young people with opportunities to learn valuable life skills, gain confidence and self-discipline, and develop a sense of responsibility and civic duty. The organisation is open to young people aged 8+, and is a great way for them to gain valuable experiences that will serve them well in their future careers.

Overall, the camp was a great success, and the cadets returned home with memories that will last a lifetime. The ACC looks forward to hosting more camps in the future and providing more young people with the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
