ANZAC Day – Open Letter to Cadets & Officers

Message from the Commissioner

For immediate release.

Dear Cadets and Officers,

Today, as we commemorated ANZAC Day through dawn services and parades across Sydney and other locations throughout the state, your exemplary conduct reflected the core values of Integrity and Respect that the Australian Cadet Corps stands for. Your self-discipline shone brightly as you represented not only yourselves but also the spirit of the Corps in every march and service.

I would like to extend a special thanks to all the Officers across our units who have dedicated their time and effort in the weeks leading up to today. Your commitment has been instrumental in preparing our cadets for such a significant occasion. It’s indeed a long day, and your unwavering dedication does not go unnoticed.

ANZAC Day is a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by the men and women who have served our nation. It is crucial that we continue to teach our young people about the importance of honouring these sacrifices. Today, you have all upheld this tradition with the utmost solemnity and pride.

As your Commissioner, I am immensely proud of each one of you. Your attendance and participation today have not only honored the legacy of our servicemen and women but have also demonstrated the strength and unity of our Corps.

On behalf of the Committee,

Trent Aylward
Commissioner
