Supporting Cadet Families with Active and Creative Kids Vouchers

The Australian Cadet Corps has grown considerably in just over a year, welcoming new units and creating more opportunities for young people to learn, build friendships and challenge themselves.

With many exciting activities planned, there is plenty for our Cadets to look forward to. As these opportunities grow, we recognise that membership and activity costs are an important consideration for parents. Our continued participation in the NSW Active and Creative Kids Voucher Program helps eligible families reduce these costs and keep their children involved.

With units opening across different states we are working towards finding local government support for all units in the Australian Cadet Corps as we can.

More Opportunities for Cadets

From weekly unit training to camps, outdoor adventures and national events, Cadets offers opportunities to develop leadership, teamwork, confidence and practical skills.

The addition of new units means more young people can access these experiences within their communities. We are excited to see our organisation growing and remain committed to supporting the families who make their children’s participation possible.

How the Vouchers Can Help

The Australian Cadet Corps is an approved provider under the NSW Government’s Active and Creative Kids Voucher Program. Eligible families can access two $50 vouchers per child each year to help pay for approved activities.

Vouchers can be applied towards Cadet membership fees, camps and activites. This support helps reduce the ongoing cost of attending Cadets, giving families more room to plan for the activities ahead.

Who Is Eligible?

The program is available to children who:

• Are NSW residents.
• Are aged between 4.5 and 18 years.
• Are under the care of a parent, guardian or carer who receives Family Tax Benefit Part A, Part B or both in the current or previous financial year.

Families will also need their child’s Medicare card details when applying.

Applications can be made online through a MyServiceNSW Account. Visit Service NSW to check the full eligibility requirements and apply:
