Cadets Camp 2024
The National Operations and Training Department are pleased to announce that the next Cadets Camp will be held on the weekend of Friday 6th through to Sunday 8th September 2024.
The camp will be held at the Crosslands Youth & Convention Centre , located at 100 Crosslands, Galston NSW 2159. This year’s event promises to be a memorable experience filled with exciting activities, skill-building opportunities, and camaraderie among cadets and officers from across the region.
Cadets and officers are invited to arrive no earlier than 1800HRS (6:00 PM) on Friday, dressed in their Full Parade Uniform. Registration must be completed by 2000HRS (8:00 PM). Parents and caregivers are welcome to attend the final parade on Sunday at 1515HRS (3:15 PM) to witness the closing ceremony and pick up their cadets.
Accommodation will be provided in bunk-style rooms, each equipped with an ensuite. Cadets are reminded to bring their own bedding, including pillows and sleeping bags. All meals will be catered, beginning with a late supper on Friday and concluding with lunch on Sunday. It is essential that dietary requirements and allergies are communicated in advance through the registration form.
The cost for the weekend is $180 per person, covering all meals, accommodation, and activities. Registration and a deposit of $60 are required by Friday, 2nd August 2024. Members can complete the application form online or request a paper form from their Unit Commanding Officer.
A wide range of activities is planned for the weekend, including canoeing, kayaking, swimming, fieldcraft, orienteering, night games, sports, drill training, band training, and leadership training. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-electronic games for free time but are advised against bringing electronic devices.
